Yes, Van Morrison, the man with a voice like a yellow toenail, is another of UB40's influences.

Damn, I hate Van Morrison. "Moondance" isn't so bad, I guess, but every time I hear I hear him sing "Brown-Eyed Girl," I want to throttle someone. Doesn't matter that the "brown-eyed girl" he's referring to is his lover's anus.
